1. Information used on your device
Crestline may use the following information only when needed for a feature you choose:
- Location while using the app, to calculate altitude, coordinates, location names, and measurement accuracy.
- Motion and barometer information on supported devices, as relative assistance to the location-based altitude reading.
- Camera input when you choose to take a photo.
- Add-only Photos access when you choose to save a finished image to your photo library.
Records, photos, watermarks, settings, and share drafts are processed and stored locally by the current reviewed version of Crestline.
2. Collection, tracking, and third parties
The current reviewed version of Crestline does not transmit precise location, photos, EXIF metadata, altitude records, or raw sensor streams to Crestline servers. It does not use cross-app tracking, the advertising identifier, or a third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
If a future release adds a provider that changes these practices, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that release.
3. Sharing and exported images
Sharing is initiated by you. Precise coordinates are off by default in Crestline share output and appear only if you explicitly enable them. Crestline's share export is designed not to include GPS or EXIF metadata.
Once you send an item through the iOS share sheet, the receiving service's privacy practices apply.
4. Purchases
Crestline Plus purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Crestline receives the entitlement status needed to unlock purchased features but does not receive your payment-card details. Apple's privacy and transaction practices apply to the purchase itself.
5. Retention and deletion
App-managed records and photos remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Deleting an App-managed record removes its associated App-managed media according to the product flow. Removing Crestline removes its local container, subject to iOS and your device backup settings.
Because Crestline does not maintain a user account or Crestline cloud profile in the current reviewed version, there is no server-side Crestline account record to delete.
6. Your choices and permissions
You can change location, motion, camera, and Photos permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Some features may be unavailable when the permission they require is disabled. You can also choose which details appear in each share export.
7. Children
Crestline is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Crestline server.
8. This website
This static website does not use analytics, advertising scripts, cookies set by Crestline, or contact forms. It is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical information such as an IP address and traffic-routing data for security and service operation under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Crestline's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published.
